Michael is the Founder and President of Faithful Presence, a ministry in Washington DC, equipping servants and leaders working in Washington DC to flourish in their work and faith. . Prior to launching Faithful Presence, Michael served as the Executive Director of Ministry to State in Washington D.C. He graduated from Covenant Seminary and has also planted churches in Iowa City (Go Hawks!) and Chicago (Go Cubs!). Michael has been married to his wife, Tess, for 32 years. They have 4 children, a son-in-law, and a grandson. He is also an avid collector of vinyl records including: Charles Bradley, Phoebe Snow, Dave Brubeck, Art Pepper, Paul Simon, U2, The Clash, Isaac Hayes, Ryan Adams, and Lawrence Welk!
